Edge VS Google: Which is best for student?

Personally, it’s Bing. Here me out.

I’ve been using Microsoft Edge ever since my school subscribed to a Microsoft-powered .edu account and I loved it and since using everything Microsoft, like literally everything Microsoft, I have learned to love their updated version of Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, it has become one of my most favourite browsing app.

Sidebar:

Easily switch between your Collections, Favorites, History, Downloads, and more with just a swipe or a click. Keep your focus on the current tab while having quick access to your web essentials with Sidebar.

Vertical Tabs:

Organize your tabs neatly and conveniently by moving them to the side of your browser window with Vertical Tabs. View tab titles at a glance, collapse or expand them as needed, and drag and drop tabs to reorder or group them. Unlike horizontal tabs, you can add as many tabs in Vertical Tabs without causing any problems. When navigating using Vertical Tabs, it opens and closes immediately for comfortability.

Privacy:

Customize how Microsoft Edge and the websites you visit handle your personal information with Privacy. Choose from three levels of tracking prevention, block unwanted pop-ups and ads, and browse without leaving any traces using InPrivate mode. Protect yourself from malware, phishing, and identity theft with Privacy. If Edge detects that I’m searching for something inappropriate (even though I’m not), it blocks me immediately, even in Balanced Mode. I personally use Strict Mode, which provides perfection.

Immersive Reader:

Simplify web pages by removing distractions, changing font size and style, and adjusting the background color with Immersive Reader. Listen to web pages read aloud by natural-sounding voices, with options to adjust speed and pitch. Enjoy reading online content at your own pace and preference with Immersive Reader.

Advanced PDF Reader:

Open PDF files within Microsoft Edge and perform various actions on them with Advanced PDF Reader. Highlight, underline, or strike through text, add comments or notes, draw shapes or freehand, and fill out or sign forms. Save, print, or share your PDF files with ease with Advanced PDF Reader, which is lacking in Google. I used to use the desktop Kindle app, but since I have Microsoft Edge, I can do everything that I did in Kindle on Edge. However, flashcards and exporting aren’t available in Edge, unlike in Kindle, but I don’t use flashcards, and I mostly annotate my work. Plus, it saves my ink and paper.

Bing AI:

Enhance your web browsing experience with intelligent features powered by artificial intelligence with Bing AI. Get in-depth answers to complex questions, summarize long articles into key points, or find related topics to explore further. Generate content such as poems, stories, code, essays, songs, celebrity parodies, and more with Bing AI. Learn and create more with the web using Bing AI. Bing AI helped me answer my math questions, plan my group projects, and gave me suggestions about research papers, and so much more. Bing AI also helped me write this blog. Surprised? (Don’t get me wrong though, I wrote this. Hello? It’s me! Hi. Yeah.) Thank Bing AI, you saved my grades. Continue saving it.

If you have a different web browser preference than mine, feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section. I would love to hear from you and learn about your perspective. These are just my personal thoughts and opinions.

Chaleureusement,
